On October 7th, singer Hagit Yaso – also a member of a local running group in Sderot, southern Israel – lived through a day she could never have imagined.

In the midst of chaos, caught in moments of terror and deep uncertainty. She had to make life-altering decisions that morning, as each member of her running group had – and against all odds, Hagit survived.

In her darkest hour, she found strength through prayer and song, lifting her voice in “Shir Lama’alot” – the Song of Ascent – anchoring herself in faith when the world felt like it was falling apart.
